Award Winning Restaurant
Our focus is on using local suppliers as a Biosphere certified business. Grobdale of Girthon supply pork reared through low intensity farming while Ballards butchers provide our meats. This is supplented by Gledpark farm assured venison & Galloway Smokehouse for smoked meats as well as fresh fish. The renowned Cream o’ Galloway ethical dairy supplies our cheese and ice cream.
Activities
Galloway is a walking & cycling paradise. The 7 Stanes mountain bike trails and more recently the creation of the Raiders Gravel Festival & The Gralloch has made Gatehouse a mecca for cyclists. As our name suggests we are located around the Solway coast and close to some amazing sandy beaches accessible from the Ship Inn either by bike or on foot.
