The Ship Inn Welcomes Canada

David Hyslop, former son of Gatehouse, and successful entrepreneur left these shores for Canada on the SS Kangaroo in 1857. But during his long and rewarding life he crossed the Atlantic no less than 29 times never forgetting the place he called home.

Now on 29th March, his great great grandson Rob Lennard and his band The Rocky Mountain Gang will, as part of their UK tour, perform a wide variety of music at The Ship Inn at 7pm including Elvis, Johnny Cash and of course songs by famous Canadian Musicians. Free for all Gatehouse residents. Fantastic opportunity to keep the strong linkages between Gatehouse of Fleet and Canada alive!!!!
